As with the other villages, here, the main sights of interest are the old churches and chapels notably the church of the Virgin Mary at Gournia - the name Gournia comes from the bowl shaped depressions on the rocky banks of the creek here where women used to do the washing; Saint Nicolaos which has beautiful frescoes made by the renowned iconographer Agapios (also known as the Secondary One); Saint Georgios, which has precious icons made by two highly esteemed iconographers, Zacharias Tsangaropoulos and Konstantinos Paleokapas in 1645; and that of Saint Konstantinos, or rare architectural style and the bust of Nikolaos Chrysogelos in the square of the same name. Saint Loukas has a grocery store, a hotel, and rooms for rent, a restaurant, and bakery where you can buy traditional Siphnian pastries.
